Wentzville Teen Seriously Injured in Fatal Car Accident

Wentzville girl taken to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital with serious injuries after the car she was traveling in caught fire after skidding off the road in Gasconade County.

A 15-year-old girl was seriously injured in a fatal single-car accident in Gasconade County Thursday afternoon.

Maven Robertson, of Wentzville, was a passenger in a 2002 Ford Ranger traveling on Boettcher Road shortly before 1 p.m. when the car skidded off the left side of the road and struck a tree. After impact, the car caught fire and burned. 

The Wentzville girl was life flighted by air to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis. A 15-year-old girl from Bland died in the accident.

The 16-year-old driver of the car, another girl, from Vichy, left with moderate injuries and was taken to a neaerby medical center. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol website, it was unknown if any of the girls in the car were wearing seat belts.

Boettcher Road is located nearly 50 miles from Jefferson City.
