Wentzville Teen Seriously Injured in Street-Racing Crash
The Sunday-evening crash occurred on Route 370 in St. Charles County.
Justin D. Hendrix, 19, of Wentzville was seriously injured Sunday evening in a crash on Route 370 in St. Charles County.
The Missouri State High Patrol reported that Hendrix, driving a 2005 Dodge Neon, was street racing a 2005 Pontiac GTO driven by David A Brawley, 24 of Moscow Millls.
The two vehicles were eastbound on Route 370 east of Harry S. Truman Boulevard around 7:45 p.m. Sunday when Brawley lost control.
The front of Brawley's GTO struck the left side of the Neon. The GTO traveled off the right side of the road and struck a guard rail. The Neon also went off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
Hendrix was taken to SSM St. Joseph Hospital by ambulance. Brawley was not injured.
Both drivers were wearing safety devices. Both cars were totaled.
