Wentzville Truck Driver Involved in I-270 Crash

Daniel P. Vitale, 58, of Wentzville, was driving his 2006 International northbound on Interstate 270 when he was struck by another driver.

Travis Guariglia, a 35-year-old Ballwin resident, failed to see the truck and hit it with his car, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The accident happened north of Olive Boulevard at 6:50 p.m.

Guariglia was taken to Mercy Hospital by a Creve Coeur Fire Protection emergency crew for minor injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Vitale was wearing a seat belt, and did not sustain injuries, according to the report.

Guarigilia's 2013 Chevrolet Impala was totaled and towed from the scene. Vitale drove his truck from the incident.
