Wentzville Woman Injured in Crash

On Interstate 70 at Hawks Nest Drive.

A Wentzville woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident Sunday on Interstate 70 at Hawks Nest Drive.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 6:09 a.m. Sunday.

A 1986 Ford Mustang, driven by William R. Hill, 32, Moscow Mills, was going eastbound on Interstate 70. Hill lost control of his vehicle and traveled off the left side of the road and struck the concrete barrier.

The Mustang returned to the roadway and crossed over four lanes of traffic. The right front of the car then struck the front left of a 2009 Volvo S60, driven by Lucinda M. Fry, 54, .

The Volvo was forced off the right side of the road. Both vehicles then traveled off the right side of the road, striking a concrete barrier.

Fry sustained minor injuries in the accident. She was taken to St. Joseph Health Center by St. Charles County EMS.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
