A woman was killed Saturday in a one-vehicle accident on Route Z.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 3:30 p.m. April 7 on northbound Route Z, just south of Peruque Ridge.
Jessica M. Troutman, 35, , was driving her 2000 Dodge Caravan on northbound Route Z. The vehicle traveled off the side of the right side of the road and struck a post.

The front of the van struck a curb and became airborne. The front left of the vehicle impacted the ground and overturned, partially ejecting Troutman, the report stated. The Caravan came to rest on its top.
Troutman was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS officials, the report stated, and her body was taken by Lonning Mortuary Service to the St. Louis County Medical Examiner's Office.

She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
