Woman Caught With Kilo of Cocaine During I-70 Traffic Stop Near Wentzville

The woman told a St. Charles County deputy she was taking the cocaine to Phoenix for a friend.

An Arizona woman faces criminal charges after officers discovered drugs in her car following a traffic stop.

Karla Palacios, of Tempe, AZ, was charged Feb. 5 with delivering a controlled substance and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy pulled Palacios’ car over on westbound Interstate 70 at the 205 mile marker for multiple traffic violations.

The deputy said the woman showed signs of extreme nervousness during the traffic stop and a K-9 unit was called in. The dog alerted on the trunk. A search revealed a kilo of cocaine inside a cooler in the trunk, according to a court document.

Palacios told officers she was taking the cocaine to Phoenix for a friend.

Palacios is being held in St. Charles County jail. Bail was reduced Monday from $10,000, cash only, to $2,500.

I have always believed that when a person is found with drugs. The punishment would be that the carrier must consume all of those drugs within Ten Minutes, or go to jail without Bond. Then when all is consumed arrest the subject for being "Under The Influence". with a mandatory Sentence of 30 years, no Parole.

As we can see; the threat of being caught, is not enough of a deterrent. Meaning that the risks are still acceptable. Being that drug use is killing our country and its users; then simply kill the suppliers. Make television ads that show people being shot in a firing squad, for drug dealing. That way, Billions of our tax dollars can be spent helping people, instead of paying for their incarceration, where they learn nothing about how to live better lives if they are released. Just kill them publicly and televise it, and call them stupid.
