Woman Killed Sunday in Accident at I-70, Wentzville Parkway

New Mexico resident was a passenger in vehicle.

A New Mexico woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident Sunday on Interstate 70 at Wentzville Parkway.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident occurred at 2:40 p.m.

A 2001 Chevrolet Suburban was heading eastbound on I-70 when the driver, Terry Taylor, 46, of Espanola, N.M., suffered a "medical condition."

The Suburban traveled off the left side of the road, returned to the highway and then went off the right side of the road. The vehicle then struck a fence and overturned, the report stated.

Rebecca L. Taylor, 53, also of Espanola, was taken to in Lake Saint Louis, where she was later pronounced dead.

Terry Taylor sustained serious injuries. He was flown by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.

The other two passengers, Patricia Taylor, 43, and Gary T. Jett, 29, both of Wichita, KS, sustained minor injuries. Both were taken to in St. Charles.

None of the people involved were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
