Board Approves Mayor's Appointment to Ward 3 Seat

John Luby will fill the seat left vacant since the April election.

The voted Wednesday to approve Mayor Nick Guccione's appointment of John Luby to the vacant Ward 3 seat.

The special meeting was originally scheduled for 5:30 p.m. but was postponed when a quorum was not present. Sonya Shryock had an approved absence from the meeting, and Rick Stokes was running late, so the mayor moved the special meeting to 6 p.m.

At 6 p.m., Guccione announced his appointment of former alderman John Luby. Luby is a former alderman who served two terms on the board from 2006-2010.
