Board of Aldermen, Public Work Sessions Tonight at City Hall

Tonight's discussion includes proposed changes to the ordinance on building height exceptions.

On the agenda for tonight's 5:30 p.m. public work session:

  • 2011/12 Fiscal Year Budget Kickoff
  • Plaza Tire Annexation
  • General Discussion

At 7 p.m., the board of aldermen meets with the following items under consideration:

  • Public hearings on changes to the ordinance on height exceptions for buildings and also amendments to several ordinances concerning building standards, maintenance and upkeep
  • The appointment of Dennis Zimmer to the Development Review Board
  • An ordinance for a utility relocation agreement with Public Water Supply District No. 2 for the Freymuth Road Improvement Project
  • An ordinance to adopt a budget revision
  • An ordinance amending several provisions of the municipal code to more accurately reflect the recent adoption of the International Code Council’s Family of Codes, including the International Residential Code, the International Property Maintenance Code and the International Building Code, among others
  • An ordinance to increase maximum building height in the PA (Public Activity) zoning district and clarify the regulations for exceptions to maximum building height in all municipal zoning districts
  • A resolution allowing a Tree Resource Improvement and Maintenance (TRIM) Grant by the city's Arborist/Horticulturist

Aldermen-elect Harry Slyman, Kathy Schweikert and George Rich will be taking the oath of office.
