Board to Discuss New City Hall, Police Department Needs at Retreat

The board will be meeting Wed., May 2 to set an agenda for the retreat set for May 18 and 19.

The will be meeting Wednesday night, May 2, to set topics of discussion for their retreat, which will be held May 18 and 19.

The current worksession topic list includes the following items as "scheduled," either for the May 9 regular board meeting or for the retreat:

  • WASSI (Wentzville Area Senior Services, Inc.) — scheduled for May 9 regular board meeting
  • Stream stabilization and stormwater issues — scheduled for May 23 regular board meeting
  • Sewer lateral program — scheduled for retreat
  • — scheduled for May 9 meeting
  • New city hall — scheduled for retreat
  • Future needs and cost details — scheduled for retreat

On the "unscheduled" list are the following items:

  • Campaign signs (and such signs on city property during business hours)
  • Senior survey/review items from last survey
  • Revise and update code of ethics
  • customer concern report
  • Wentzville Heights sidewalk program installation
  • Yard waste/much program
  • "Build Wentzville" meeting with HBA
  • Temporary signs for businesses
  • Street Department making signs vs buying signs
  • Decorative downtown signage
  • downtown village parking

Items considered "active" are:

  • Electric lines from meter box to house under construction
  • business license renewal
  • Northview stormwater project

Items considered "inactive" or tabled are:

  • Water division scholarships (discussed during 2012 budget hearings)
  • Lights on N. Wentzville Parkway (discussed on Dec. 1, 2010)

This is the first I've heard of a possible new city hall. Anyone know where they're talking about building it?
