Applicable experience: I initiated the Utility Tax Rebate for qualifying seniors and low-income residents. I supported implementation of higher street construction standards. I endorsed the tree ordinance; past president of Wentzville Board of Aldermen; co-chair of Wentzville Comprehensive Plan Review Committee; Planning and Zoning member, Storm Water Advisory Committee, member of St. Charles County BackStoppers and St. Charles County Municipal League.

Organizations: Member Wentzville CERT (Citizens Emergency Response Training), member of Wentzville Historical Society, former trustee of two complexes, “Pink Heals Tour” parade and float organizer, 2009 Wentzville Relay for Life co-chair; “Pink Heals Tour” parade and float organizer 2009, Wentzville.

CANDIDATE QUESTIONS

1.  What is the primary reason you are running for this office?

To be back in public service by listening and looking for the compromises that will accommodate the greatest needs of the greatest number of residents and business owners.

2. What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?

While it is hard to have a single priority, I will be instrumental in being a watchdog for wise use of our city’s funds (taxpayer’s money). This also includes responsible community growth, street maintenance, city infrastructure and providing the best public safety for our residents.

3. What sets you apart from the other candidates?

I am passionately committed to a fair, honest and open city government. I will work for the residents and business owners, not special interests.

4. How long have you lived in Wentzville?

Since October 2001.

5. What's your favorite thing about Wentzville?

The community spirit that we all project toward each other.

6. What is the biggest problem in Wentzville?

The indecisiveness of our public servants.

7. What is your vision for Wentzville?

In these trying economic times, we should be a community whereby you can live, work and play while raising your family and not have to travel out of the area. We are blessed with remarkable opportunities and we should demand city leaders we can trust to uphold our values, keep our families safe and provide top notch services to our families and businesses. I will work hard everyday to make our city a better place to live and raise a family!
