CANDIDATE QUESTIONS

1. What is the primary reason you are running for this office?

First and foremost, I’m running for office to protect the home values of Wentzville residents. Any proposed changes in existing partially developed subdivisions need to be consistent with the original planned development to preserve the integrity of the home values of those already living in those subdivisions.

2. What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?

As mentioned in question #1, I will do all that I can to make sure that the integrity of existing subdivisions remains consistent with their original plans and the street and safety standards are not compromised.

3. What sets you apart from the other candidates?

I will set up regular town hall meetings to allow Wentzville citizens to participatein the government process less formally than testifying in front of the Board of Alderman. I will use the information discussed in these meetings to help me address and sponsor issues and legislature aligned with the people of Wentzville.

4. How long have you lived in Wentzville?

Since August of 2009

5. What's your favorite thing about Wentzville?

I love Wentzville because of its small town charm and sense of community. As we continue to grow the challenge is to keep what makes it great to live here while meeting the challenges of increased population and industry.

6. What is the biggest problem in Wentzville?

I don’t see large problems in Wentzville. I think the biggest hurdle, not being in office with the insight that brings, is that we need to run the city like one of 30,000 and not one of 5,000.

7. What is your vision for Wentzville?

I would like to work hard to make sure our citizens are informed and feel that they can actively participate in the changes that we inevitably need to make. I see Wentzville becoming a “Poster City” to illustrate how you can grow to meet the increased infrastructure needs and yet preserve the heritage and community that grew the city to begin with.
