City Approves Use of Chapter 100 Bonds for GM

Funding mechanism for proposed plant expansion

The Board of Aldermen unanimously approved a resolution declaring an intent to issue Chapter 100 bonds for the proposed expansion of the truck facility in Wentzville.

The resolution approves an agreement from GM to cover all upfront costs related to the project, regardless of whether the expansion goes forward.

GM is looking to add a new product line at the plant and expand its current facility. The measure could create 2,000 new jobs.
