Update: Corey Brown Trial Date Canceled

Accused child molester Corey Brown was charged with ten felony counts of statutory rape, statutory sodomy and child molestation.

UPDATE: Today's scheduled trial has been canceled. The trial has not yet been rescheduled, and no other information is available. Lake Saint Louis Patch will post more information as it becomes available.

After several changes of dates, and a reassignment to Division 2, the case of accused child molestor Corey Lane Brown is scheduled to go to trial June 21.  Brown was arrested by Lake Saint Louis police on Dec. 15, 2010 and charged with two counts of statutory rape, six counts of statutory sodomy and two counts of child molestation.

Court documents state that while in the hospital in December 2010, Brown told a social worker that he had been "sexually inappropriate" with two young girls, ages eight and nine. When a Lake Saint Louis detective served him with an order of protection, Brown told the officer he wanted to talk about the incidents.

The detective's report states that Brown told him the incidents with an older girl date back to 2007 and that he began molesting the younger girl in July. The detective estimated Brown molested the older girl 234 times and the younger girl 34 times.

The trial will take place at the St. Charles County Courthouse, 300 N. Second St., St. Charles, at 9 a.m. on June 21.
