Dean, Murphy To Run for Gatschenberger's House Seat

Chuck Gatschenberger will be leaving the House to run for Scott Rupp's Senate seat.

Candidates are already lining up for the 2014 elections.

The Missouri Times reported last week that Nina Dean will run against Jamey Murphy for the House of Representatives District 108 seat that will be vacated by Chuck Gatschenberger.

The Times quoted Dean as saying, "I’m a constitutional conservative and I want to stand for the true Republican platform.”

Gatschenberger will be making a bid for the Scott Rupp's 2nd District Senate seat. His opponents will be former reps Bob Onder and Vicki Schneider. Schneider lost her bid for O'Fallon City Council this past April.

Rupp will be losing his Senate seat in 2014 due to term limits.
