MoPSC Comment Session

The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold a public information question and answer session on Ameren Missouri's proposed electric utility rate increase.

The increase is estimated at 11 percent across the board. 

The meeting is slated for 5:30 p.m. at O'Fallon City Hall, 100 North Main St. in O'Fallon.

Last June, a 10 percent rate increase took effect for Missouri Ameren customers, and in July 2010, Ameren asked for an additional $71 million to offset fuel-related costs.

In addition, on Sept. 3, 2010, Ameren Missouri filed a rate case with the Missouri PSC seeking to increase annual operating revenues by approximately $263 million.

The hearing is one of a series being held throughout the state.
