Sides said that the building will also feature architecture that is "just a little fancier, more decorative" than other MERS Goodwill locations due to its Lake Saint Louis location.

The company is always hiring, Sides said, and interested persons can go to the website for a list of available positions.

MERS Goodwill was created from the merger of Metropolitan Employment and Rehabilitation Service and Missouri Goodwill Industries in 2001. At that time, there were 17 stores in the retail division. That number has now grown to 40 locations.

The organization's mission is "to provide opportunities for persons with barriers to employment to work and live more independently in the community," according to the company website.
