Incumbents Rule in Wentzville, Lake Saint Louis Aldermen Loses Seat

Tuesday was election day and races in Lake Saint Louis and Wentzville were fairly close. Take a look at who won what in our post-election wrap-up.

George Rich Loses Seat to Former Alderman John Pellerito

  • The newcomer to the Ward 3 seat on the Lake Saint Louis board of aldermen is a familiar face—former Ward 3 alderman John Pellerito. Pellerito, who lost his seat on the board to Richard Morris in last year's election, won the election with 255 votes. Incumbent George Rich got 207 votes and challenger Patricia Van Thull got 167 votes.

  • Incumbents ruled the day in Tuesday's municipal elections in the City of Wentzville. Municipal Judge Steve Martin will retain his position as municipal judge after winning over challenger Michael Carter. Martin got 1227 votes to Carter's 1057. The new Wentzville Board of Aldermen will look the same as the old one, with Ward 1 incumbent Cheryl Kross beating challenger Robert Hussey. Kross had 456 votes to Hussey's 363.

  • The Board of Directors of the Wentzville School District will be welcoming a new face at its next meeting. Newcomer Sandy Fitzgerald received the second-highest number of votes in the race, which pitted five challengers for two seats. Board incumbent Dale Schaper retained his seat with 2770 votes. Fitzgerald won the other opening with 2269 votes.
