Job Posting: Wentzville City Administrator
The city of Wentzville has been without a full-time city administrator for a year.
The postion of Wentzville City Administrator was posted on the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) website on Aug. 25.
The listing states that qualified candidates should have:
- A Master’s Degree in public administration, business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of ten years of executive-level management experience, preferably in local government.
- Three to five years of experience as a city manager in a community of comparable complexity is preferred.
Salary for the position is listed at $109,000 - $140,000, with excellent benefits.

Some of the items that are listed as future issues that the new city administrator will be addressing are: increasing the pace of downtown redevelopment, enhancing the safety of major highway crossing in the city, coming up with creative approaches to development of a new and economic development to complement and additional retail shopping and establishment of a long range strategic plan.
