Lake Saint Louis Municipal Election: Submit Your Questions for Candidates

Patch will send questionnaires to the candidates running in the April municipal election. What questions should we include?

As we approach this April's election, Patch will send each candidate a questionnaire to help empower voters to cast their ballots for the candidates they believe in.

And we would like to include all of you in the process.

Lake Saint Louis will be electing a mayor and three aldermen:

  • For mayor, current Ward 1 alderman Ralph Sidebottom will be challenging incumbent mayor Mike Potter, who was first elected to the position in 2001.
  • In Ward 1, Eric Oman will be running against current alderman Tony Zito and former alderman Larry DeGroodt.
  • Ward 2's incumbent Kathy Schweikert will run unopposed.
  • In Ward 3, incumbent alderman George Rich will be challenged by former alderman John Pellerito and newcomer Patricia A. Van Thull.

What questions do you have for the candidates? Do you have a question about a particular issue? Or would you like to know the candidates' viewpoints on a more general question for the whole city?

Please share your questions in the comments section at the bottom of this article. We'll include as many as we can in our candidate questionnaire.

We ask that you please ask questions that are on point and deal with the issues—this is not a forum for personal attacks on one candidate or a specific issue.

This is your election, Lake Saint Louis—what information do you need before heading into the voting booth? Please submit your questions by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 4.
