The Public Works Department of the City of Lake Saint Louis issued a press release Monday to announce the locations of several stormwater replacement projects.
The Community Association plans to lower the Lake Saint Louis from October 15, 2013 to January 1, 2014, prompting the projects, which will be undertaken by J.H. Berra Construction Company. Preliminary construction activities, such as tree removal, are expected to begin in early October, with pipe replacements taking place once the lake has been lowered.
The project locations include:
- Lake St. Louis Blvd. / Lakeview Road – This project consists of replacing an existing storm sewer with approximately 1250 feet of new 48” pipe between Lake St. Louis Blvd. and the lake near the intersection of Lakeview Road and Lakewood Drive.
- Dauphine Drive (near Cognac Drive) – Replacement of approximately 165 feet of 42” pipe between Dauphine and the Lake.
- Dauphine Drive (near St. Valerie Court) – Replacement of approximately 175 feet of 18” pipe between Dauphine and the Lake. The pipe replacement will cross Dauphine Drive.
- Nicole Court – Replacement of 140 feet of 42” pipe between Dauphine and the Lake.
The city reminds motorists to expect delays and lane closures on the streets listed above, although one lane of these streets is expected to be open at all times.
