Larry DeGroot Confirmed as Lake Saint Louis Ward One Alderman

In a special meeting Monday night, Larry DeGroot received a unanimous vote from the Board of Aldermen to fill the vacancy left by Harry Slyman's resignation.

The Lake Saint Louis board of aldermen voted unanimously Monday night for Larry DeGroot to fill the vacant Ward One seat.

DeGroot has served on the board previously, from 2000-2006.

Mayor Mike Potter mentioned at the July 18 board meeting that he was considering DeGroot for the position.

NewsmagazineNetwork.com reported last week that DeGroot would be returning to see work completed on the Freymuth Road project, which DeGroot had campaigned for in 1999.

In a July 27 article, StlToday.com mentioned that DeGroot would serve only until an April 2012 election to fill the remainder of the term.
