MoDOT Plans Repair Work Around Wentzville, St. Charles County

Route P and Blanchette Bridge closures scheduled for today.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will begin several consruction projects around St. Charles County today.

Route P

Maintenance crews will close Route P at Dove Nest Lane in St. Charles County, weather permitting, at 9 a.m. today to replace a culvert.

The roadway should reopen by 3 p.m. This work was rescheduled from earlier this month. Route P will be open to local traffic only between Dove Nest and Freymuth roads and St. Paul and Dove Nest roads.

To detour around the closure, drivers can use Freymuth Road, Church Road and St. Paul Road.

Route 94

A section of eastbound Route 94 near the Busch Wildlife Area for 12 days starting at 9 a.m. today, weather permitting, as part of a project to rebuild shoulders on the roadway.

Crews will close eastbound Route 94 from Little Femme Osage Creek to just south of Francis Howell High School. Drivers can use Route DD and Route D to detour around the closure.     

The roadway will reopen by 2 p.m. Friday, August 5.

Blanchette Bridge

MoDOT will close lanes on Interstate 70 at the Blanchette Bridge for the bridge’s annual safety inspection, starting on Tuesday.

Crews will close two lanes on westbound I-70 weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. from July 26 until Monday, Aug. 1. Crews will inspect the two right lanes and then move to the two left lanes as they complete inspection work.

After the westbound bridge has been inspected, crews will move to the eastbound bridge, working weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Aug. 1 until Monday, Aug. 8.  

Crews will again start the inspection in the two right lanes and then move to the two left lanes when inspection is complete.
