Notice of Vacancy for City of Wentzville, Alderman, Ward 3

(The City of Wentzville has issued the following press release.)

City Clerk Vitula Skillman for the will be accepting applications from all persons interested in filling the Ward 3 vacancy.  Applicants must meet the qualifications of Alderman Ward 3. 

The application is available by contacting Ms. Skillman at 636.327.5101 or vitula.skillman@wentzvillemo.org.  Applications are also available on the city web site at www.wentzvillemo.org.  Applications will be accepted for 10 business days, and the closing for Ward 3 applications will be at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012.

Qualifications for Alderman, Ward 3 are:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Must be a citizen of the United States
• Must be an inhabitant and resident of Ward 3 for one (1) year next preceding the application date at the time he/she applies and during the time he/she serves as Alderman Ward 3
• Must be a qualified voter under the laws and constitution of this state and the ordinances of this city
• Shall not be in arrears for any unpaid city taxes or municipal user fees
