Presidential Poll: Who's Your Pick to Win the Republican Nomination?

Republicans in Wisconsin may look to Romney as only possible candidate to beat Obama.

It’s come down to Rick Santorum’s feet on the ground versus Mitt Romney’s money in the bank. And so far, it seems Romney’s cash is king, at least in Wisconsin, according to the Christian Science Monitor.

Romney overcame a significant early deficit to Santorum in polling, even though he never set foot in the state until Friday. Romney now leads polling, 39 percent to 31 percent over Santorum.

"Combined spending by the Romney campaign and Restore Our Future, a pro-Romney “super political-action committee,” totaled about $2 million," the Christian Science Monitor reported. "By contrast, Santorum’s campaign had spent under $100,000 by last Sunday, while a super PAC backing Santorum, had spent about $300,000."

Santorum has countered by equating Romney's positions on health care, tax increases and cap and trade with President Barack Obama in a new ad, Politico reports.

Meanwhile, Ron Paul gathered a crowd at the University of Wisconsin, Madison campus. Paul told the crowd he is often asked why young people are interested in him.

"One reason - they’re getting a bad deal," he said, citing the debt they are inheriting from past spending decisions, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
