Seminar To Help Local Businesses with Wentzville's Bid Process

The city expects to offer more than $19 million in purchasing opportunities in the next 18 months.

The City of Wentzville would like to expand the city's business opportunities to include more of the local business community.

The city expects to offer more than $19 million in purchasing opportunities in the next 18 months.

In order to explain the procurement process and answer questions from potential bidders, city staffers are offering a free presentation “Understanding the Competitive Bid Process” on March 27.

The presentation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27 at CenturyLink Building A, 1151 CenturyLink Drive in Wentzville. A light lunch will be provided.

Recently, bids for work on the city's two new sports parks have caused some controversy. Bidders attended and spoke up at a meeting of the board of aldermen to express their concerns about the bid process and to ask why some bids had been discarded.
