Special Board Meeting Sept. 12 for Ward 3 Appointment
The Ward 3 seat has remained unfilled since the April elections.
The has scheduled a special meeting for 5:30 p.m., Wed., Sept. 12. The single item on the agenda for this meeting is the appointment of a new Ward 3 alderman.
The special meeting will be conducted just before the board's regular meeting at 6 p.m.
This appointment follows a second search by the city to create a pool of qualified Ward 3 applicants after Mayor Nick Guccione's first pick for the seat failed to get approval from the board of aldermen.
