Two Former Aldermen Seek to Regain Their Seats in April Election

Larry DeGroodt, Ward 1, and John Pellerito, Ward 3, have both filed their candidacy.

The races are set for the April 2 municipal election in Lake Saint Louis.

For mayor, current Ward 1 alderman Ralph Sidebottom will be challenging incumbent mayor Mike Potter, who was first elected to the position in 2001.

In Ward 1, Eric Oman will be running against current alderman Tony Zito and former alderman Larry DeGroodt.

Ward 2's incumbent Kathy Schweikert will run unopposed.

In Ward 3, incumbent alderman George Rich will be challenged by former alderman John Pellerito and newcomer Patricia A. Van Thull.

Candidate filing opened on Dec. 11, 2012 and closed on Jan. 15, 2013.
