Wentzville Will Seek Outside Help to Find New Administrator

After two rounds of interviews, the Wentzville Board of Aldermen has decided to hire a professional recruiting firm to fill the position of City Administrator.

The has decided to seek help filling the City Administrator position that has been vacant since the in late August of last year.

"We need to decide and come to an agreement tonight," Ward 1 Alderman Cheryl Kross said. "I would support going out to a third-party firm to start the process over for a city administrator."

Ward 3 Alderman Rick Stokes agreed. "We ran a process. We got a lot of applicants, but we didn’t get the candidates we hoped for. We’ve gone for an extremely long time without a CA."

Forrest Gossett, Ward 1 Alderman, mentioned the last year. The city paid the Missouri Chiefs of Police $7,500 to locate and test candidates for that position.

The board directed Human Resources Director Amy Mixen to check into the process of contracting with a professional firm, and she plans to have a representative at the next board meeting on May 23 to discuss options.
