All after-school activities in the have been canceled for Monday because of inclement weather, school officials announced.
A winter storm entered the Wentzville area Monday morning and is expected to drop two to four inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service has the bi-state area, including , under a winter weather advisory. The forecast is calling for one to two inches Monday morning and another inch or two later this evening.
The heaviest amount of precipitation expected during the afternoon.
According to the school district's activities website, canceled events include:
- South Middle School - Math Club meeting
- Peine Ridge Elementary - Ridge Review
- Crossroads Elementary - Corgi Petite Symphony (Intermediate)
- Prairie View Elementary - Dance Club
- Prairie View Elementary - Math Team
- All sports teams practices
At this point, school is still on for Tuesday.
