Candidates File for Two Open Positions on Wentzville School Board

Two of the seven candidates for the April 3 election are incumbents, and three are Lake Saint Louis residents.

Seven candidates will be competing for two open seats on the Wentzville School Board for the April 3 election.

  • Michael Spiroff, Wentzville
  • Aaron Heath Schaper, Wentzville
  • Sheryl Cox, Wentzville
  • David E. Hurst, Lake Saint Louis
  • Saundra (Sandy) Garber, Lake Saint Louis
  • Amy E. Johnston, Wentzville
  • Shannon Sprock, Lake Saint Louis

Cox and Hurst are incumbents. Cox is currently serving as secretary for the board.

Garber ran in the 2011 election and received 9.49% of the votes, losing to Terry Ratcliff, Heather Reiter and Courtney Tieman.

The seven members of the Wentzville School District Board of Education represent citizens of the district in the development of policies and procedures and in the management of its tax dollars, according to the district's website.

Board members serve three-year staggered terms, and candidates must be US citizens at least 24 years of age, a Wentzville School District resident taxpayers, and have lived in and paid taxes in Missouri and St. Charles County for at least one year.
