Discovery Ridge Elementary School Receives Donation

Money will be used to purchase books for students.

On Friday, June 17, Discovery Ridge Elementary received a $3,000 grant from Manager Davin Biram during the store’s grand reopening ceremony.

Discovery Ridge Principal Laura Bates accepted the check and said the funds will be used to purchase high-interest books for students at all reading levels.

“WalMart’s support will enable our school to meet students’ learning needs and will be a valuable resource to increase students’ literacy skills,” said Bates. “Wal-Mart’s partnership with Discovery Ridge is greatly appreciated.”
