Families Flock to Holt for Back to School Fair
This was the second year for the event, co-sponsored by the school district and the Western St. Charles County Chamber.
If it's any indicator of success, our Patch booth at the Back to School Fair at Holt on Saturday ran out of giveaways just 2 1/2 hours into the 4-hour event.
Families descended on the Holt gym in droves, enjoying activities, a visit from the Cat in the Hat and lots of free school supplies.
I was thrilled to meet so many of our readers and hear how much you love Patch! We signed up a lot of people to receive our free newsletter, and we gave away a lot of great Patch stuff: tote bags, t-shirts, frisbees and pens.

We got a note on our Facebook page from the Wentzville NEA: "We made two additional trips to the store in the middle...our Wentzville teachers gave away more than 2,500 items today! Check out our page for photos of our students with the Cat in the Hat!"
