GO! St. Louis Announces Entry Fee Increases for April Event

On Jan. 1, entry fees for the annual two-day GO! St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend will increase by $10 to $20, but there's still time to register online.

A local not-for-profit organization presenting fitness events and programs will raise its entry fees for its 12th Annual GO! St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend.

The two-day fitness event will run on April 14 and 15. Organizers say it attracts more than 25,000 participants each year and is the largest competitive fitness event in the state, offering races for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Beginning Jan. 1, entry fees will increase $10 to $20, said Jeff Trammel, public relations representative.

“Just to clarify on the entry fee increase, we opened registration on Sept. 1 with a set of entry fee prices,” Trammel said. “As we draw closer to the event the prices increase.”

He noted that entry fees for the events vary, and that it’s still possible to register online before Jan. 1, so you can get the lower price—but registration is open until April 4. Part of the reason the prices are increased is to encourage people to sign up before Jan. 1, Trammel added.

And, Trammel said, if you do sign up but find yourself unable to participate, you may transfer your bib number to another person by filling out a transfer form and paying a $20 fee. The organization encourages folks in that situation to use their Facebook pages or ask their friends and co-workers to find someone who is willing to replace them in the race.

The GO! St. Louis team is offering a personalized training experience for participants through a partnership with Big River Running Company. The cost for the 12-week program is $125, or $85 for GO! For a Cause team members.

The cost covers the Wednesday and Sunday group training sessions, post-race food and drinks, weekly emails from the coaching staff and access to the interactive team website, along with other perks.
