Heat Forces Cancellations, Rescheduling of Sports Events

Wentzville School District makes changes to the day's sports calendar in response to the steamy forecast.

With temperatures forecast to hit 102 degrees today and a heat advisory in effect for St. Charles County, officials at the have made some changes to the sports events planned for the day.

For :

  • The freshman and varsity softball games have been moved back to 5:30 p.m.
  • The JV softball game has been canceled.

  • The freshman soccer game has been moved back to 6 p.m.
  • The varsity and JV softball games have been canceled
  • The cross country meet has been canceled.

The varsity football games for both high schools are still scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Timberland travels to Troy and Holt is home against Hickman.
