Holt High School Theater Department Presents 'Annie'

The musical story of Little Orphan Annie will be presented on November 15, 16 and 17.

Holt High School Theater will present its fall production of Annie on November 15, 16, & 17 at 7:00 p.m.

The classic musical with a book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin brings to life the familiar story of the unflappable optimist Little Orphan Annie.  Among other songs, the score features the theater favorites “Tomorrow,” “Easy Street” and “Never Fully Dressed without a Smile.”

Annie (Annika Mills) yearns to find her parents and escape the clutches of the evil orphanage mistress Miss Hannigan (Cara Delaporta). When Grace Farrell (Emily Hampton), personal assistant to Oliver Warbucks (Nathan Hinds) arrives to offer one lucky orphan a two-week Christmas holiday at the mansion, Annie jumps at the chance. Little does she know that her short vacation will start a nation-wide search for her parents and the eventual involvement of even President Roosevelt (Chris Geerling).
