Lakeview Elementary Fifth Graders Graduate From the D.A.R.E. Program

Four classes of fifth-graders vow to live an alcohol and drug free lifestyle.

On Monday night, four classes of fifth-graders from Lakeview Elementary gathered in the auditorium to celebrate the completion of the D.A.R.E. program. This program is designed to educate children about the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco and teaches them techniques to fight peer pressure when it arises.

Students were joined by Officer Mary Wheeler, D.A.R.E. instructor; Holly Ellis, Lakeview Elementary Vice Principal; Paul Lambi, Mayor; and Chief Robert Noonan, City of Chief.

Students shared the D.A.R.E. song with their parents and friends in attendance and also received certificates to signify the commitment they had made upon completing the program.
