New Frontier Middle School Principal Named

The Wentzville School District Board of Education has approved the hiring of Mrs. Kelly McClain as Principal of Frontier Middle School for the 2013-2014 school year.

Mrs. McClain will replace Mr. Phil Ragusky, who has been selected to be the Principal of the new Liberty High School opening next year.

Mrs. McClain is currently the Principal of Roxana Junior High School in Roxana, Illinois. She holds a B.S. in English and Psychology from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville, a Masters in Educational Administration from Maryville University, and she is currently working towards the completion of an Educational Doctorate, also from Maryville.

Mrs. McClain taught in the Hazelwood School District for six years before taking a job as an Assistant Principal at Jennings Junior High School.  

“I am excited to join the Frontier Middle School community. Clearly the staff and students have worked together to create a school that is committed to excellence,” said McClain.  “My main goal for the first year is to learn the culture and history of the building while building trusting relationships with all stakeholders. Through these relationships, and the continued focus on excellence, we will provide a top-notch educational system for the students of Frontier.”
