New Timberland High School Principal Named

Nathan Hoven comes to the Wentzville School District after four years as the principal of Rolla High School.

The Board of Education has approved the hiring of Nathan Hoven as Principal of for the 2012-2013 school year.

Mr. Hoven is a native of Maryland Heights and a graduate of Pattonville High School. He holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Missouri–Rolla (now Missouri University of Science and Technology), a Masters in Secondary Administration from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, and he is currently working towards the completion of an Educational Doctorate from the University of Missouri–Columbia.

He taught mathematics at Hazelwood Central and Pattonville High School before being named an Assistant Principal at Pattonville High. In his most recent position, Hoven served as the Principal of Rolla High School in Rolla, MO for the last four years.

In his first year at Rolla High School, Hoven implemented a program to deal with attendance and tardiness issues, setting an attendance goal of 95 percent, the Rolla Daily News reported in October of 2008.

Hoven also has experience coaching high school football, wrestling and golf.

“I am extremely excited about moving to Timberland High School,” said Hoven.  “I am looking forward to working with the outstanding students and staff of THS to continue building on their history of excellence.”

Mr. Hoven is married with three children. Both Hoven and his wife have family in the St. Louis area.
