Open Houses Offer Information About School Boundary Changes

The Wentzville School District plans two more open houses.

When in April of 2011, they acknowledged the district's need for more classroom space in the state's fastest-growing school district.

The new high school created , and the district took that opportunity to realign the boundaries of the middle schools also. The proposed plan calls for three elementary schools to feed into a single middle school, which then feeds into a single high school.

Under the new plan, students will stay with the same schoolmates from elementary school to high school. Previously, middle school students would be split up and sent to different high schools.

The district held an Open House Dec. 8 at to address any concerns from parents and students in the Holt, , Heritage, , and Peine Ridge Elementary schools.

Two more Open Houses are plannned:
