Timberland Teacher to be Honored at Aerospace Spotlight Awards in Washington, D.C.

James Weber, a Project Lead the Way instructor, was recognized for his accomplishments in teaching students about math and science and preparing them for tomorrow's technologies.

James Weber, a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) instructor at Timberland High School has earned him recognition as an American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Foundation 2013 Educator Achievement Award Winner.

“I am both honored and humbled to receive this award,”  Weber said. “When I see all the extra work that teachers at Timberland High School do beyond the scope of their job, it is difficult to consider that I should be the one who gets recognized.”

Weber mentors students and encourages them to pursue an area of study in STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
