Cory Kettler, senior forward on the ice hockey team. Kettler scored two goals in Holt's playoff opener, a 5-1 win over Northwest at the Affton Ice Arena. Both of Kettler's two goals came in the third period. He also added two assists, including one on a short-handed goal in the first period to open up the scoring.

: Emmett Wilmes, junior center on the boys basketball team. Wilmes scored a game-high 18 points in a 58-28 win over Kennedy last week. Wilmes has helped lead St. Dominic to a 10-9 record this season. The 6-foot-4 junior said he's been working on his mid-range jump shots in an effort to expand his game lately.
Casey Teson, freshman guard on the boys basketball team. Teson had a game-high 22 points in the Pirates' 57-46 win over crosstown rival St. Charles West. Teson, who has contributed significantly as a freshman, drained three 3-pointers and also swiped four steals. St. Charles is now 10-10 on the season.

Shelby Bateman, junior forward on the girls basketball team. Bateman scored 11 points in the Panthers' 53-46 win over Fort Zumwalt East last week. But it was her performance in the paint that got her an Athlete of the Week nomination. Bateman grabbed eight defensive rebounds and two offensive rebounds, making it hard for Zumwalt East to get any second-chance points.
