Wentzville Families Pack Holt High School for Back to School Fair

First fair of its kind in Wentzville offered games, information and free school supplies.

Hundreds of families in the took part in the first at Holt High School on Aug. 13.

The District teamed up with the Lake Saint Louis/Dardenne Prairie Chamber and to host the fair that featured 76 local businesses and non-profit groups. The event was free to district families and included booth activities, carnival games, bounce houses, health screenings and free back to school supplies. 

“This was an event designed to bring together local businesses, community groups and our district families in one place to share valuable information, discounts and free school supplies in a fun and festive atmosphere,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Terry Adams. “We are grateful for the efforts on the part of our Chamber leaders and all those who participated in the fair that led to its tremendous success. It was beneficial to many of our families and a great way to kick off the new school year.”

Thousands of dollars worth of school supplies were given away to families, a portion of which were donated by and the remainder were paid for by those businesses and groups participating in the fair.

In addition, Dr. Daniel Roach of Hawk Ridge Family Chiropractic in Lake Saint Louis provided discounted sports physicals and donated all proceeds to the and High School activity funds.
