According to the National Weather Service, there was about a half-inch of snow in the region overnight. Although there isn't much snow, icy conditions on roads and highways have caused several accidents and traffic jams. Officials from the Missouri Department of Transportation urge motorists to drive carefully, as black ice conditions exist.
