Rain Doesn't Stop Area from Fighting Like a Firefighter
A driving rain Saturday didn't stop runners from supporting breast cancer survivors.
Bad weather didn't stop an army of pink shirts from coming out Saturday to 'Fight Like a Firefighter.'
The event supports those fighting breast cancer in the area.

The end came quick for the men's winner Jeremy Covey, who finished in 18 minutes and 42 seconds. He was followed by the women's winner Jackie Loutzenhiser at 22:43. These runners topped out the elite road warriors but most runners looked as if they had not run in years and were just happy to finish and participate with friends.
This race was won by all of the runners who together raised money to fight this terrible disease.

As the walkers gathered to begin, the strollers, banners and wheelchairs showed up. When the horn blew to signal the start, loudspeakers blew Johnny Cash singing "I Walk the Line."
The parade got under way and was led by the pumper trucks from , and Wright City and a number of EMS vehicles.
The biggest applause came when the "Survivors" trailer made it's way past the crowd who lined the streets.
