Timberland Junior Qualifies for Olympic Trials

Andrew Sansoucie just competed in a national championship.

 junior Andrew Sansoucie competed at the 2011 Speedo Junior National Championships Aug. 8-12 at Stanford University.

Swimming in the “B” finals of the 100 meter butterfly, he won with a time of 54.95 and qualified for the Olympic Trials next summer.

As a freshman Sansoucie was a second-team All Metro selection, and as a sophomore he set the GAC record in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.30.

Last year he finished second in the Missouri State Meet in the 100 butterfly (0:50.90) and fourth in the 50 free (0:21.42).

The 2012 Olympic Team Trials will be held June 25 - July 2 at the Qwest Center in Omaha, NE.
