Wentzville Holt Runs out of Steam In Second Half

Columbia's Hickman took home a 30-7 victory over the Indians in Friday night's game at Holt.

Despite having a one-point lead at halftime of Friday's game against Columbia's Hickman High School, the Indians couldn't hold on and Hickman walked away with a decisive victory against the Indians.

Holt scored a touchdown just before the half, going into the locker room leading 7-6.

In the second half, Holt was unable to score against the Kewpies, who widened their lead with a 65-yard run that resulted in a touchdown courtesy of No. 27, Tyler Kramer.

With 5:23 left on the clock, the Hickman Kewpies gained a touchdown and conversion, and the score stood at 7-22. The Columbia team managed another touchdown and two-point conversion with less than a minute left on the clock, bringing the final score to 7-30.

Holt travels to the Edward Jones Dome next week, for a Saturday game against Francis Howell Central. The game is part of the Great American Football Classic.
