St. Charles County Outdoor Pools Open Saturday

Rates increase at three area aquatic facilities.

The swimming season varies at each park. McNair Aquatic Park and Blanchette Aquatic Park are open until Aug. 5, while Wapelhorst Aquatic Park is open until Aug. 12, and then on weekends only through Sept. 3.

The Parks Department has cut back the hours that Blanchette Aquatic Facility is open on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. to 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. McNair Aquatic Facility will also open at noon instead of 11 a.m., seven days a week.

The daily admission fees have increased 50 cents for everyone in St. Charles aquatic parks. O'Fallon also raise admission fees by 50 cents at Alligator's Creek Aquatic Center.

Residents and nonresidents who expect to use the pools often can purchase park aquatic passes. A family pass costs $200 for city residents and St. Peters city residents, through the double play partnership. Residents of other cities pay $240.

In return for giving St. Peters residents a special rate, St. Charles residents can pay a special rate to join the St. Peters Rec Plex.

St. Charles Parks and Recreation Aquatic Passes:

Adult Pass: $95 residents, $115 non residents. Ten swim pass is $50, available only to residents.

Child/Senior Pass: (Children ages 3-11, seniors ages 60 and older): $80 residents, $95 non residents. Ten swim pass is $40, available only to residents.

Progress Park Swimming Pool in Wentzville
Hours:  Noon to 7 p.m. Monday to Sunday, May 26-Sept. 3. 
Fees and Passes: Resident adults ages 14 and older- $3, youth ages 13 and younger $2, seniors ages 60 and up $2. Non-resident adults ages 14 and older- $4, youth ages 13 and younger $3, seniors ages 60 and up $3. Membership fees for resident adults are $60, and resident family memberships are $100. 
Amenities: This pool has a 100-foot water slide, deep diving well, lap lanes.

Wapelhorst Aquatic Facility in St. Charles
Hours: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Fees and Passes: Cost is $7 for adults ages 12-60, $6 for children (2-12) and seniors (60 and up), $2 for children ages 2 and younger. Costs drop after 4 p.m. Park Passport holders get $1 off. Family passes also available. 
Amenities: This park has the only five-story speed slide in St. Charles County, water rapids inner tube ride, an underground waterslide, a waterslide, a children's play area and a general swimming area.

McNair Aquatic Facility in St. Charles
Hours: 12 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Sunday
Fees and Passes: Cost is $5 for adults ages 12-60, $4 for children (2-12) and seniors (60 and up), $2 for children ages 2 and younger. Costs drop after 4 p.m. Park Passport holders get $1 off. 
Amenities: The pool has one waterslide, a large children's water playground area, a lily pad walk, lap swimming, and a sandbox.

Blanchette Aquatic Facility in St. Charles
Hours: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 12 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday
Fees and Passes: Cost is $6.50 for adults ages 12-60, $5.50 for children (2-12) and seniors (60 and up), $2 for children ages 2 and younger. Costs drop after 4 p.m. Park Passport holders get $1 off. Family passes also available. 
Amenities: The pool has two waterslides, an otter slide, a children's water playground, lily pad walk, diving area, lap swimming and a drop slide.

Hours: Noon to 7 p.m. May 26-28
Fees and Passes: St. Peters Resident Rates: Adult - $3.50, Youth - $2.50, Senior - $1.50. Non-Resident Rates: Adult - $5, Youth - $3.50, Senior - $3.50. Pool passes are available for purchase for St. Peters residents at city hall.
Amenities: The pool has a wading pool, diving board and two 25-meter lap pools along with a concession stand. 

Golf and Recreation Center Pool in St. Peters
Hours: Noon to 7 p.m. May 26-28
Fees and Passes: St. Peters Resident Rates: Adult - $3.50, Youth - $2.50, Senior - $1.50. Non-Resident Rates: Adult - $5, Youth - $3.50, Senior - $3.50. Pool passes are available for purchase for St. Peters residents at city hall.
Amenities: This pool has lap lanes and two water slides. 

Nob Hill Pool in St. Peters
Hours: Noon to 7 p.m. May 26-28
Fees and Passes: St. Peters Resident Rates: Adult - $3.50, Youth - $2.50, Senior - $1.50. Non-Resident Rates: Adult - $5, Youth - $3.50, Senior - $3.50. Pool passes are available for purchase for St. Peters residents at city hall.
Amenities: This pool is located in the Spencer Creek subdivision. 

Alligator's Creek Aquatic Center in O'Fallon
Hours:  Noon to 6 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday, noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. Open May 26-August 12.
Fees and Passes: Adult- $4.50, Youth and Seniors $3.50. Season passes for adult residents are $90 for residents, $115 for nonresidents, $65 for resident children and $90 for nonresident children.
Amenities: A spring diving board, lazy river, vortex, two water slides.
