What's Open and What's Closed on the Fourth of July?

As Wentzville celebrates the Fourth of July with this long weekend, many local businesses are changing their hours to give employees a holiday break.

The following is a list of what Patch found to be open and closed over the holiday.
 
Government Offices

  • City of Wentzville: City Hall will be closed July 4.
  • City of Lake Saint Louis: City Hall will be closed July 4.
  • Trash Collection, Wentzville: Trash will not be collected on Thursday, July 4. The Thursday routes will be collected on Friday and the Friday routes will be collected on Saturday. 
  • Trash Collection, Lake Saint Louis: If the holiday falls on or before your normal scheduled pick up, your collection will be moved to the following day. (Christian Environmental Services)
  • St. Charles City-County Library District: Branches will be closed Thursday, but will reopen Friday.
  • U.S. Postal Service: Post offices are closed and mail will not be delivered Thursday, but the postal service schedule resumes with offices open and mail delivered on Friday.

Attractions/Entertainment
  • St. Louis Zoo: Open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m Thursday.
Businesses
  • Safe Lock Storage all locations will be closed on July 4th, re-open at 9am Friday the 5th.
  • Genesis Salon & Spa will be closed July 4.
  • Stacey's Gymnastics is closed July 4th and 5th.
  • Animal Talk Medical Center will be closed July 4-7.
  • Sam's Club Hours for July 4 are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Nuway closed July 4.
  • Jammer Joint closed July 4.
  • Hair World closed July 4.
  • Taylor Tots Children's Boutique closed July 4.
