Can I get a tax deduction for the computer and cell phone I use for work?

If you purchased a computer or a cellular phone for business, you may be able to claim a depreciation deduction.  Your employer must require you to have the computer or phone as a condition of employment, and they must be used at the convenience of your employer.  You must keep a written record of the personal and business use of the computer or phone to establish the percentage of business use.
